Sophie Tatum is a digital producer with CNN Politics based in Washington, D.C., where she supports daily video and digital production across platforms and writes for the breaking news team.

Prior to joining CNN full-time, Tatum interned with "Anderson Cooper 360" in New York and "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer" in D.C.. In addition to her experience at CNN, Tatum worked in radio and print -- reporting for the statewide wire service the Nebraska News Service as a legislative reporter and holding internships with WLS radio in Chicago, KFOR radio in Lincoln, Neb.  Tatum earned two bachelor degrees in Print Journalism and Broadcast News with minors in Political Science, Economics, National Security Studies, as well as, a concentration in Arabic Studies

Through these various experiences and classes she has been trained in all aspects of reporting, social media, videography, photography, producing, writing, AP style and editing. Tatum has a an comprehensive understanding of the national and international political climate.
